The Jade Dragon

By William Overgard

The Ancient Spirits of Evil threaten to replace Mumm-Ra if he doesn't destroy the Thundercats. The evil spirits reveal the double-headed Dragon of Doom to their servant to use it to trap the Thundercats.

On the Planet of the Red Sun, Hachiman dreams that Lion-O is swallowed by the double- headed Dragon of Doom. The samurai races to Thundera to warn Lion-O, encountering Ma-Mutt in bat form. Hachiman arrives at Lion-O and Cheetara's treasure excavation site too late to keep them from being imprisoned in the jade piece.

The samurai then travels to Mumm-Ra's pyramid to confront the evil wizard. With the help of the Lords of Light, Hachiman fights and defeats the Ancient Spirits of Evil, in statue form, and Mumm-Ra.

The samurai returns to the excavation site to free Lion-O and Cheetara, but Mumm-Ra follows to exact revenge only to be forced back by the Sword of Omens. The Eye of Thundera then restores the two Thundercats to their original forms. With all restored, Hachiman goes home. The Thundercats keep the two pieces of the jade dragon with the Treasure of Thundera.

"A man who allows others to do his fighting for him is truly a coward." - Hachiman to Mumm-Ra.

"There is a risk -- a chance for disaster. But life itself is chance." - Hachiman
