Hachiman pulls Lion-O onto the bridge sensing that Lion-O is not a dishonorable foe. Hachiman realizes that Mumm-Ra ticked him and vows to help Lion-O free Lynx-O, Ben-Gali and Pumyra.

Miles away, Cheetara and Tygra are making their way to the rendezvous point when Captain Shiner attack them at the demand of Mumm-Ra. The two cats work together to send off Shiner's ship into deep space before continuing on.

Nearby on the sea, the Gomplin can no longer tow the Berserkers' ship and Turmagar cuts the line. As the pirates regain their ship, Turmagar and the Gomplin decide to attack again. But the Gomplin is injured and must be cared for, so Turmagar safely lets Snarf off on shore and heads the Gomplin home. The Wilytwins, also on their way to Fire Rock Mountain, engage the Berserkers.

Not long after on land, Panthro fights Monkian and ultimately gains control of the Fist Pounder, pointing it to run off a cliff into the sea. At the same time, the Berserkers are chasing the Wilytwins near the cliff. The unmanned Mutant vehicle falls onto the pirate ship, sinking it.

The Wilytwins and Panthro meet up with the rest of the Thundercats and Hachiman. However Mumm-Ra appears and sends Hachiman back to his own time, lessening the possibility of the Thundercats reaching the ThunDERians and saving them.

But Jaga appears to offer his help in asking for the Star of ThunDERa's power, which can render Thundranium harmless. Observing this, Mumm-Ra sends Grune to fight Jaga before the Thundercat spirit can reach the star. During the clash, Jaga falls toward the Black Planet as Grune celebrates. But the Star of ThunDERa saves Jaga and pushes Grune far away. Jaga asks for, and is granted, the power of the star in the form of an amulet on a gold chain. The spirit returns to the Thundercats and places the amulet around Lion-O's neck so that the young lord can bring the ThunDERians safely over the Thundranium pits.

Lion-O arrives at the mouth of the cave just as Lynx-O, Pumyra and Ben-Gali exit it and fight off the Mutants. Lion-O asks that they quickly take each others' hands, in order to have the power of the star flow around them, and get across the bridge. Just as they arrive on the other side, Mumm-Ra snatches the amulet of the Star of ThunDERa from Lion-O's neck. Despite Jaga's warning, the devil priest opens the case and it seemingly destroys him and Fire Rock Mountain.

The Thundercats bring their fellow ThunDERians home to Cats' Lair. It is quickly decided by the Thundercats that Lynx-O, Ben-Gali and Pumyra can be anointed as three of them, due to their actions throughout the ordeal. After settling in, the three are fitted with uniforms and are anointed as Thundercats by the Eye of ThunDERa.
