The Berserkers' victory over Lion-O is short-lived when Panthro arrives on the Thunder Claw to help rescue Lynx-O, Pumyra and Ben-Gali. Hammerhand calls for a retreat after assessing the damage from the fight with Lion-O and the attack from Panthro. Snarf is able to gain Panthro's attention before the big cat follows the fleeing pirate ship out to sea. After Snarf's frantic please to save Lion-O, Panthro is successful in bringing the young lord to shore barely conscious.

Hours later, the Berserkers meet up with the Mutants to hand over the ThunDERian prisoners. The two groups square off after Slithe attempts to deceive Hammerhand and his crew out of their payment. Lynx-O, Ben-Gali and Pumyra decided to try for freedom, but Ben-Gali is captured again and the other ThunDERians cannot leave him to their enemies.

The Mutants take the three to the Black Pyramid where Mumm-Ra is told they are merely commoners, no Thundercats as he the devil priest thought. The information does not deter Mumm-Ra from deciding to confine Lynx-O, Pumyra and Ben-Gali in Fire Rock Mountain as bait for the Thundercats to take.

Meanwhile, Lion-O is feeling stronger and joins Panthro to save the ThunDERians while Snarf is charged to race back to the Lair to tell the others what has happened. But Vultureman and Ratar-O, in the RatStar, capture Snarf on the way. Lion-O and Panthro witness this, so Lion-O tells Panthro to go to the Lair while Lion-O grabs onto the undercarriage of RatStar to free Snarf. However Ratar-O turns the ship to shake off the young lord and he falls on Hook Mountain.

At the Black Pyramid, Mumm-Ra buys the services of Captain Shiner to transport Lynx-O, Ben-Gali and Pumyra to Fire Rock Mountain. The three succeed in escaping on the ship, only to be rendered unconscious when Shiner orders his crew into the Thundranium clouds around the mountain.

At Cats' Lair, Panthro regrets leaving Lion-O to save Snarf from the RatStar. The Thundercats decide to spread out to look for Lion-O.

Later, Snowman and Snowmeow are out scrutinizing their territory when they find Lion-O in the snow. Not far away the Mutants, on their way to Fire Rock Mountain, decide to attack because they think Mumm-Ra would reward them for taking Snowman, Snowmeow and Lion-O out. But Lion-O damages the Sky-Cutter Slithe is on only to face Monkian manning the Fist Pounder.
