The knowledge of the survival of three ThunDERians on Third Earth prompts the Thundercats to find them. However Mumm-Ra finds out about this enemies' effort and acquires the services of the Berserkers to capture Lynx-O, Pumyra and Ben-Gali, plus their Berbil friends, from their unknown island.

Hours later, the Berserkers have anchored their ship in Plunder Cove, allowing the Wilytwins to observe the ThunDERians in chains. The young Thundercats race to tell their friends. After their report, Lion-O goes on ahead while Panthro and the Thunderkittens finish up on two new vehicles.

Lion-O finds out Snarf has followed him, and asks his friend to stay ashore while he swims out to the Berserkers' ship to free the ThunDERians. But the Berserkers notice Lion-O before he can release Lynx-O, Ben-Gali and Pumyra and, despite his fighting efforts, Lion-O fails to free them and retreats. Hammerhand commands Ram Bam to attack Lion-O with liquid fire balls from the ship's cannon. The young lord tries to make it back to shore, but the water has been superheated and he begins to drown.
