L I O N - O


Lord of the Thundercats

Lion-O is the reigning lord of the Thundercats by heredity and anointment trials. At the age of twelve, he was given the title by succession of death after his father, Claud-Us, stayed on ThunDERa when it exploded to ensure the flagship was away safely. It can be assumed that Jaga and Lion-O had had a long standing relationship (mentor/pupil) prior to the Exodus. In times of uncertainty, the spirit of Jaga appears to Lion-O to offer advice when needed. It is not completely certain how Jaga was able to maintain a connection to his pupil, or the reason why only Lion-O can see his first advisor. Lion-O has a "live and let live" philosophy although he has been known to carry his desires for protection and revenge too far. He has learned most of the skills to maintain his leadership in dark times. Slightly tempermental, Lion-O is mostly content to be happy. At the beginning of his reign, Lion-O had taken his title with too much pride and seriousness. He has since learned that being the lord of the Thundercats holds no rule that says he has to be perfect and he is able to laugh at himself more easily. As stated in Kat's gallery, Lion-O takes it upon himself to remind the younger clan lord to learn that lesson earlier than Lion-O had.
