| To merge the empires, Jaga offered an allegiance through mating. Claud-Us agreed only when he had met the "candidates" prior to the ceremony. This was when Jaga met, and was enchanted with, a younger she-cat, Liona. He was torn between his long-standing love of Sorsha and the new love of Liona because both soothed his age-old soul.
